Drift Santa Barbara

524 State St, Santa Barbara, CA 93101, USA
(855) 721-2658

$$

The Drift is a unique boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara directly on State Street. We loved the Drift for it's location and it will be a perfect central spot for downtown shenanigans before and after the wedding. We recommend this hotel to our single travelers who want to be a little closer to downtown than the Jardin. The lobby has a coffee bar called Dawn, and a tequila centered bar called Dusk, both of which are incredible. Next door is a very nice brewery and beer garden as well!

Pro's:

- In the heart of downtown, right on State Street

- Used to be a Scientology Center, now not a Scientology Center

- Walking distance to lots of bars, stumbling distance from lots of bars

- Easy check in and check out process

- VERY comfortable beds!

Cons:

- Expensive for what it is, but modern and fancy

- No Free Parking

- Sink will be at the foot of your bed, shower will be in the middle of your room (and fully glass)

- Slightly noisy if you are facing the street

- About a 15 minute walk to the Courthouse

- Need to walk a block to take an Uber as State Street is closed to vehicle traffic
